This blog was conceived after the Scottish Cup Final of 2004 when Celtic played Dunfermline. The idea was discussed in The Last Post pub in Paisley late at night as a means of allowing us to share news, opinions and post links of mutual interest. The date of the Final was 22 May.
I can see why you put no comment with this. I didn't know what to make of it. A very clever self parody of both Shatner's inability to act and the silliness of pop lyrics. Or was he just ham. I do like parody songs one of the best that I've seen is John Otway singing "I will survive" as Bob Dylan. It really made you laugh. I just wasn't sure if I wasn't laughing here at Shatner rather than what he was doing.
Hard to decide Gerry. My guess is that Shatner knew it was cringingly bad but realised the audience of sci-fi enthusiasts would like it. But maybe I'm being too kind to Shatner and he's just a twat.
