This blog was conceived after the Scottish Cup Final of 2004 when Celtic played Dunfermline. The idea was discussed in The Last Post pub in Paisley late at night as a means of allowing us to share news, opinions and post links of mutual interest. The date of the Final was 22 May.
Its depressing. I have to stop looking at how much people earn especially people in "entertainment" and "executives that can turn companies around." I saw that Richard Hammond was getting £2M to remain with Top Gear. Good Luck to the guy but is that programme not on BBC? Do we need to pay that much for a presenter from the licence fee.
On the other side Ferguslie Park is still topping the polls as the most deprived area. Just shows what about 40 years of government interventions - urban aid, regeneration etc can fail to do. Maybe we should get enlist one of those top executives to turn the place around but Richard Hammond would probably be just as good.
