This blog was conceived after the Scottish Cup Final of 2004 when Celtic played Dunfermline. The idea was discussed in The Last Post pub in Paisley late at night as a means of allowing us to share news, opinions and post links of mutual interest. The date of the Final was 22 May.
There were some times in the first half when Prso heded the ball on and some last ditch tackles stopped Boyd getting through. But overall we had a real grip on the game. Although it is too early to say it looks like Rangers will do well to end second. They are particularly poor away from home. I don't think the same can be said of Hearts apart from Murrayfield. They have had bad results in Europe although they have played decent teams but I don't think Murrayfield does them any favours.
The last three signings have really improved Celtic. Tuesday will be a big game and Copenhagen are at the top of their league so they will be no mugs. I expect them to be better than Rangers. I wonder if McGeady can turn in a similar performance to Saturday.
As for the season Hearts being out of Europe lets them concentrate on the league. But we can hope that they are as self destructive this year.
