This blog was conceived after the Scottish Cup Final of 2004 when Celtic played Dunfermline. The idea was discussed in The Last Post pub in Paisley late at night as a means of allowing us to share news, opinions and post links of mutual interest. The date of the Final was 22 May.
Another unsurprising event was in the papers this weekend. LAPD caught on mobile phone camera repeatedly punching an unarmed suspect in the head as he lay on the ground. The same LAPD who beat up Rodney King. The aftermath of the subsequent trial of the officers led to scores of deaths. The officers at that trial got away with it. But wouldn't they have strict protocols about this now?
Another unsurprising event was St Mirren's hammering by Celtic. Celtic have often really opened up at Love Street and today I thought they played really well. I am worried about the Champions League though. We could go out of Europe all together. Hopefully not, as with the league already won it doesn't leave much interest.
Coincidentally I got an album from the library on Saturday "Surprise" by Paul Simon. I like him and its good. Its produced by him with sonic landscape by Brian Eno. Does that count as a surprise? I've never heard of it before.
