The 25 Most Shocking Moments in Movie History

Premiere Magazine has an article on the 25 most shocking moments in movies. It includes some classics but omits some really scary moments. The scene I can't watch is the one in Misery when Kathy Bates breaks the James Caan's ankles.

  1. I have the DVD of the Japanese film "Audition".

Had to watch some scenes through my fingers as it was so horrible.

I still have a collecyion of Tartan Asia DVD's that I have yet to watch as "Audition" was so shocking.

I have the Korean film "Oldboy" where he apparently eats a live octopus.

  2. This was an interesting list. From the descriptions I most definitely do not want to see Un Chien Andalou or Pink Flamingos. I watched about twenty minutes of the Texas Chainsaw etc. I have seen The Exorcist and The Shining which I thought were brilliant but I wouldn't watch them again. Likewise The Omen which I tried to watch again a while ago but after about half an hour it was spooking me out.

Its hard to say what my favourite films are but from that list I really like The Godfather and The Planet of the Apes both of which I have watched at least five times and could watch again.
