We will return!

The blind optimism has disappeared. From "generation of domination" to "Gordon Strachan must go" in 90 minutes. I give you Celtic Quick News.

  1. I turned on the TV yesterday at 4.30 and I could easily believe that Celtic were getting beaten. We couldn't score against ten men at home. This is a trend and shouldn't be compared to Arsenal. I turned on Setanta today just in time to see Rangers get an offside equaliser at 2:2. Turned it back on at 3:3. My hope is gone.

    Do United have a forward line better than Celtic's? Yet 5 goals against Rangers in two matches.

    I think Strachan has to go because I think something is wrong in his management of a decent group of players. And not winning the league this year with better resources means needing to win more qualification games to get into the Champions league - no easy matter with some of the teams out there. I cant see how he will turn the team around for next year. Given the end to the previous season and just scraping the Scottish cup against relegated Dunfermline I think we are in a steady decline.

    Just to add to his list of signings. What has he done with Riordan? If he doesn't like him why not let him go at the transfer window and get some money?

    I know Levein had a bad time at Leicester but I would consider him as he builds a strong team that is hard to beat and can play some good football. He doesn't seem to be too bad on a limited budget.

    Yes. By a mile. Because they don't have Hesselink playing for them. Seriously, this guy is a one man disaster. He doesn't move so makes no space for anyone and has a couldn't-care-less attitude to everything that he does. At the final whistle yesterday I saw him run (yes, run) to the referee to shake his hand. The guy couldn't give a fuck.

  4. Yesterday was the first time I felt myself getting really angry with Strachan. I think it's the complete lack of urgency and action that gets to many fans in situations when 60,000 fans in the stadium and thousands more throughout the country can see that our centre of defence is shite, Donati is shite, Sno is shite, JVOH is shite yet he persists with them time and time again.

    He's bought new players gives them a couple of games then reverts back to the same shite as before. What is the point of bringing these guys in? I still can't get over him bringing Sno back. Why did he bring back Donati yesterday?

    As soon as Motherwell scored yesterday I knew we were beaten. There was an emotional conflict within me between my brain which knew we were daffy ducked and some small spark of niave hope that we would get another grandstand flukey finish.

    Maybe this should be our next poll -

    You are 0-1 down at home to a mediocre SPL team. The opposition are down to ten men and you have 40minutes to save your season and possibly your job. Do you?

    A. Do fuck all for 20 minutes (leaving 4 at the back against their 1 up front)

    B. Make an ineffective like-for-like substitution of a striker for a striker (who happens to be our top scorer leaving on the dutchman who can't run or head the ball) with half an hour to go.

    C. Make an ineffective like-for-like substitution in midfield with 20 minutes to go.

    D. With three minutes left, WITH THREE MEASLY FUCKING MINUTES TO GO.. put on a third striker and go for it (taking off our only decent defender and leaving the Marx brothers to carry on their shambles).

    E. All of the above

    F. Phone a taxi

    ANSWER = F
